An Egg-citing Easter!

(Sorry about the title....couldn't help it!)
Easter is both mine and Mario's favorite holiday. It's not as commercialized as Christmas and has stayed pretty religious. I love dressing the kids up and hearing the choir sing at church. I love watching the kids hunt for eggs and then stealing their candy afterwards. The weather is warm and the food is good. That being said.....
This Easter was busy! It wasn't very peaceful but we sure had a lot of fun and the kids loved it. We kicked off Easter last weekend with a trip to see the Easter Bunny in Ashland. I took Adam and Tyler and drove down with Janice and London. It was busy but very fun. Adam got to decorate cookies and make a bead necklace.

It was really an "Ashland Experience" as the girl next to him had to bring her own glutten free organic cookies. Gotta love Ashland.

Then the day before Easter we were invited to an Easter Egg Hunt at the Howard's home. They have property the overlooks the whole valley and is absolutely gorgeous. It was mostly young children and Adam had a great time.

They had a goat, some pigs, and chickens...Adam figured if he didn't make eye contact they would leave him alone. City kid....

On Easter we went to church and had a wonderful Sacrament Meeting. The Choir sang and my friend Michelle did a wonderful solo. We wanted to stay all three hours but Adam kept coughing so we took him home for a little rest and some medicine. We did dress the boys up though and it was so cute!

In the afternoon we were invited by our friends, Jason and Joy, to their family get together. It was at Mandy and Brandon's house which is on 75 acres up in the hills. It was so pretty and probably the closest to camping I will ever get Mario. They are big into hunting and had several mounts in the house so we had to have a little fun with it.

This is a bear they shot off their back porch! Scary!!

You can see the Ginger Roger's Ranch where she used to live from the house along with the whole valley. Gorgeous!

We made a huge Easter Egg Hunt for the kids and they had a blast. we hid some money eggs and Adam got $1.50. The first thing he said when he found the money was, "I need a wallet!" He had a great time. Tyler just enjoyed watching everyone which kept him busy as there were probably 30 plus people there.

It was a great Easter!

Lydia had a newly made by grandma Easter dress and she wore a hand-me-down skirt instead. Silly girl.
